JULY 9-13 (9AM-5PM)
How can you pursue spiritual depth and practical skill with your entire youth worship team? Magnify! It is a music camp unlike any other, providing Bible-based and Christ-centered worship instruction for church leaders of the future.
Our team of worship leaders, pastors and youth pastors will offer practical skill training for leading worship, and will also teach master classes in:: vocal, guitar, bass, drums, keyboards, using technology in worship, understanding chart reading and more... all the while focusing on the 5 most important parts of leading worship:
1. The Heart
2. The Heart
3. The Heart
4. The Heart
5. And lastly THE HEART! :)
Growing musically, having a mastery of your instrument, building relationships and having fun are important and those are all focuses of this camp, however the heart is paramount. Our 5 day summer camp emphasizes:
-the heart of worship, what's most important
-interpersonal relationships
-song choices
-good execution
-how to read charts
-picking the right keys
-use of the keyboards in worship-playing as a band-sound booth
-basic understanding
-listening to the "sound of the band"
-how to communicate with your team
-when is a song appropriate?
-harmonies
-instrumental instruction
-listening critically to worship music
-biblical references to lyrics
-when to play when not to play
-use of technology in worship
-how to deal with criticism
-theology in songs
-stage presence
-lead worshiper vs. worship leader

Example daily schedule (subject to change)
9:00-10:00 Morning devotion/ acoustic worship / bible teaching
10:00 – 11:30 Master class & Primary instrumental instruction
11:30 -12:15 Lunch (Provided)
12:15 – 1:15 Daily core class (Chart Reading, Critical Listening, Worship set building etc)
1:15 – 1:30 Break
1:30 – 3:00 Practice as a band
3:00 – 5:00 Team building activities, games, wrap-up devotion and worship session
FRIDAY EVENING - WORSHIP CELEBRATION! exact time TBA
CLASSES outside the camp are also offered to adult praise teams by appointment.
